[The Edge Daily] Daibochi: Best Small Cap by Finance Asia

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB group chief executive Datuk Seri Nazir Razak has been voted as Malaysia\’s \”Best CEO\” in FinanceAsia\’s 10th annual poll of Asia top companies.

The votes were collated from over 300 investors and analysts across the region.

According to the poll results, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd was placed first in the \”Best Investor Relations\” category and took second place in the \”Best Managed Company\”, \”Best Corporate Governance\”, \”Best Corporate Social Responsibility\” and \”Most Committed to a Strong Dividend Policy\’ categories, all behind PUBLIC BANK BHD.

Public Bank CEO Tan Sri Tay Ah Lek came in second in the \”Best CEO\” category, while FRASER & NEAVE HOLDINGS BHD CEO Tan Ah Meng was placed third.

The \”Best CFO\” vote went to MALAYAN BANKING BHD\’s (Maybank) Khairussaleh Ramli, while Tanjong plc\’s Gerard Nathan took second spot.

The others making up the top 10 in the \”Best Managed Company\” category were PETRONAS GAS BHD, British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Bhd, Maybank, PPB GROUP BHD, Nestl’e (Malaysia) Bhd, GENTING BHD, DIGI.COM BHD and RHB Bank Bhd.

AIRASIA BHD was voted the \”Best Mid-Cap\” company, while MALAYSIAN BULK CARRIERS BHD took second spot. Daibochi Plastic and Packaging Industry Bhd took the honours in the \”Best Small-Cap\” category, while APM AUTOMOTIVE HOLDINGS BHD and WELLCALL HOLDINGS BHD came in second and third, respectively.
